Mercury Gallery was established in Cork Street, London in May 1964 by Gillian Raffles to exhibit and promote the work of young British Figurative Artists and to deal in 20th Century British and European Master paintings, watercolours drawings and sculpture. Many of the artists first shown in the 60's, 70's,80's and 90's for the first time are still with the gallery.

The gallery has specialised in the work of HENRI GAUDIER-BRZESKA since 1965 and has mounted 8 major exhibitions of his sculpture and works on paper since that date as well as loan exhibitions to major museums.
Work by HENRI GAUDIER-BRZESKA is always in stock.

In addition the gallery exhibits work by: Edward Burra, Joan Eardley, Wyndham Lewis, John Minton, Anne Redpath, Stanley Spencer, Julian Trevelyan, Keith Vaughan, Alfred Wallis and woodcuts by Hiroshige.

Mercury Gallery vacated the gallery space in Cork Street at the end of December 2000 and has moved to outside London where Gillian Raffles will continue to hold the work of the same artists and to stock work by Modern Masters as before.

Gillian Raffles welcomes enquiries by telephone, fax, or e-mail and will pleased to send images of work by e-mail, transparencies or photographs and will be pleased to welcome clients to view by appointment.
